MY VIEWS ON EVERYTHING
Published on May 30, 2004 By KGBNAIR In Welcome
Years back when we were children we used to get conjuctivitis once in a while and we used to go to the Ophthalmic hospital in our place . The doc used to give a medicine called argerol which we used to apply to our eyes which I think served the purpose. With introduction of anti biotics like ciplofloxacin and obramycin those medicines like argerol which served humanity many years are part of history.
Will the fate of the present day ciplofloxacin etc be the same after fifty years when new generation of medicines come .

As a child my Mom use to use Argerol solution 2% silver nitrate. It would turn the whites of the eye a yellowish tint and from what I can remember it worked really well. Last time I remember using it, was about 1980s - 90s. I cannot find it in any of the drugstores that I've looked for it. If someone knows where I can purchase it, please e-mail me at perfidia522_2006@mac.com. Thanx! -kathryne
